Judith Einstman
Born and raised in New York City, Judith Einstman attended Pratt Institute, where she majored in Graphic Arts and Illustration. She also attended an open studio figure drawing class offered by the Art Student's League.

Her formal art training was interrupted by marriage and motherhood. When her youngest child began to attend school full-time, Judith returned to art school part-time. Since her husband's career with the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers required frequent moves, she studied art wherever and whenever she had the opportunity; at Tidewater College, with master artists in Europe and at the University of Maryland (Frankfurt, Germany). She was a Magna Cum Laude graduate, with a degree in Fine Arts, from Tidewater College and finished her studio art training at Norfolk State University on a full scholarship.

In Europe, her work appeared in many group exhibits, in both Army and Air Force facilities as well as in German exhibitions. She had several solo exhibits at the Frankfurt Community Theater Gallery and in the Main Headquarters Library. Between 1979 and 1984, she participated in five Air Force Designer/Craftsman Competitions, winning ten awards for watercolor, oils, printmaking, drawing and sculpture/assemblage. These competitions included entries from Air Force bases around the world and are international in scope.

She was a founding member of the Frankfurt Arts And Crafts Guild and served as Vice-President, Program Chairman and as Fund Raising Chairman. In this capacity, she directed seven "fairs" of German and American artists and craftsmen. At the request of that City's Government, she also staged a month-long exhibition of American artists in the Rathaus (city hall) of Stadt Neu-Isenburg.

Since returning to the United States, Judith has exhibited widely. She is a juried member of the Maryland Pastel Society, the Connecticut Pastel Society, the Maryland Printmakers Society and is a signature member of the Southeastern Pastel Society.

Judith's pastels, drawings and serigraph prints have been exhibited in more than 75 regional, national and international exhibits, winning many awards. Her work is in private and public collections in the United States and abroad.
