Mowbray, Candice
Active as both a solo artist and chamber musician, guitarist Candice Mowbray has appeared as a featured performer and/or lecturer for the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, the Bethlehem Guitar Festival, the Ibero-American Guitar Festival, and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra Recital Series. Mowbray has performed live for television and radio, and audiences have praised her "beautiful tone" and "sensitive music-making". She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree and earned a Master of Music degree in classical guitar performance from Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia. Her teachers have included Dr. Glenn Caluda and Berta Rojas, and she has studied in numerous masterclasses with some of the world’s most esteemed guitarists including Roland Dyens, Eduardo Isaac, Ricardo Cobo, Angel Romero, and Sharon Isbin. In addition to performing, Mowbray has taught for Shenandoah Conservatory, Mount Saint Mary’s University, Shepherd University, Hagerstown Community College, and Frederick Community College.
