Antietam Review - Editorial StaffPhilip Bufithis, Executive Editor of Antietam Review for fifteen years, is a short story writer with seven publications in literary magazines, e.g. West Branch, Hawaii Pacific Review, Quarterly East, Nightshade Short Story Reader, the MacGuffin, and others. His book Norman Mailer (New York: Ungar, 1978) is in hardback, paper, and available in Japanese. He has also published numerous articles on modern and contemporary American fiction and American poetry; a recent essay of his (5,000 words) is an overview examination of the poet A. R. Ammons in Scribner's American Writers series. His next project, an overview essay for the Oxford Encyclopedia of American Literature on Harold Brodkey, is due in September. A professor of English at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, for thirty years, he has an M.A. in English and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. Ethan Fischer, Senior Editor, a teacher of English literature and composition at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland has been with Antietam Review for three years, first serving as its executive editor. He is also co-editor of Sans Merci, Shepherd College's arts journal, and arts and culture editor of the quarterly, Mountain Pathways. Fischer, who has an English degree from University of Pittsburgh, an education degree from West Virginia University and St. Mary's College, and a juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, is a poet and fiction writer. His works have been published in Potomac Review, Dickinsonian, WPFW Anthology, Tuscarora Review and many others. In addition, he is the writer-producer of the verse mystery series heard for many years on the syndicated Rumsey Radio Hour. Benita Keller, Photography Editor, is a freelance fine art photographer and photojournalist. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Maryland in Photography and has taught adjunct at Shepherd College, West Virginia, for 14 years. She has three photography books in progress. One book is of her personal work over the past 15 years; and the other two are photographs from Cuba. She has received several grants, shown her work in Washington and New York, and is in the archives of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C. Paul Grant, Poetry Editor, has been with the publication for two years. He oversees all poetry submissions for the regular reading period of the magazine as well as its Summer Literary Contest and poetry contest co-sponsored by Washington County Free Library. His most recent poems are forthcoming in Cabin Fever, an anthology of the Miller Cabin Readings 1984-2001, Sewanee Review and Amherst Review. Mary Jo Vincent, Managing Editor, joined the staff
of the Washington County Arts Council in 2003. Her task is to harness
the Editorial Board's creative talents toward producing a quality publication,
within budget and on time. As head of the Council's literary department,
she oversees numerous annual programs such as Writers' Day in coordination
with the Hagerstown Community College , and competitions for local poets,
writers and photographers. Additionally, she manages the Arts Council's
daily business affairs. Her experience includes several years in financial
and investment services. She began her career as a certified pharmacy
