The Artists' Gallery of Frederick, Maryland exhibiting at the Washington County Arts Council

Group Show Statement

The Artists’ Gallery in Frederick, Maryland launches its twentieth year in 2010. For two decades, The Gallery has established an important and enduring presence in the Frederick Art community, and beyond. In cooperation with the Washington County Arts Council, that presence is extended to Hagerstown, Maryland with a members group show.

“Diversity” and “evolution” are two words that describe The Artists’ Gallery--diversity among members’ personal stories as well as in their chosen media and style, diversity in content and form.  Over the many years of membership, there is evolution and development in the member’s work.  Exploration, maturation, risk and reward and both the challenge and support of working with a group influence the journey of each artist. All this is evident in the body of work chosen by The Artists’ Gallery members to represent them at the Washington County Arts Council.
