Handbell choirs to perform at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

(HAGERSTOWN, MD) The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts will present the
Handbell Choirs: Little Heiskel Ringers and Haven Handbells in a program of
seasonal music, with eleven ringers and 37 bells, on Sunday, December 10,
2006 at 2:30pm.
Little Heiskel Ringers, a nondenominational community handbell choir,
consists of church choir members, homemakers, business persons and retired
professionals who perform throughout the region. The Haven Handbells are
members of Haven Lutheran Church and present monthly concerts. Both choirs
also perform in the Hagerstown Area Handbell Festival. Choir Director, Louise Bileci, has been working with handbell choirs for more than twenty years and is also a consultant for one of the largest handbell manufacturers in the country.
Thanks to the generosity of William and Anna Singer, the Washington County
Museum of Fine Arts opened on September 16, 1931 as the focal point of
Hagerstown?s beautiful City Park. The Museum specializes in 19th and 20th
century American art and holds over 6,000 pieces in its permanent
collection. This ?crown jewel of Washington County? has been recognized as
one of the finest small museums in the United States. This year, the Museum
celebrates its 75th anniversary of offering complimentary studio art
courses, lectures, films, chamber music concerts, and exhibitions from its
permanent collection and traveling shows to the people of Washington County
and visitors to the quad-state (MD, PA, VA, WV) region. For more
