Announcing the Cabin Fever Blues Bash
The Western Maryland Blues Fest Committee is hosting a Cabin Fever Blues Bash on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 7pm to 10pm at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center. The Cabin Fever Blues Bash is being held to raise funds and awareness for the Western Maryland Blues Fest which is in its 12th year and will be held on June 1, 2 and 3, 2007. The Western Maryland Blues Fest is a City of Hagerstown Event.
The Cabin Fever Blues Bash features The Deb Callahan Band who played at the festival in 2006 and 2005. The cost of the event is $10, and tickets can be purchased in advance on the second floor of City Hall or at the gate. Blues Fest merchandise will be for sale at the event.
"Deb Callahan is a fabulous new vocal talent on the national blues scene, and her Philadelphia-based band provides a perfect complement for Deb''s original songs" said Blues Fest Founder and Event Co-Chair, Carl Disque."The Blues Bash is always an exciting evening that shouldn''t be missed. It gives us a chance to hear great blues, thank our wonderful community business sponsors, and to become excited in advance about Blues Fest 2007 with a preview of our festival lineup, stage schedules, artwork and event merchandise."
Sponsors of Cabin Fever Bash include Antietam Cable Television, M&T Bank, the Herald-Mail Newspapers and the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center. Dimensions will have food available for purchase at the event.
The event will also feature the 2007 Western Maryland Blues Fest artwork which was created by artist Mike O''Brien. "This dynamic artwork continues the Blues Fest''s pursuit of artistic excellence in all genre and media. It is beautiful, it is hot, and it''s created right here in Western Maryland," stated Kevin Moriarty, Executive Director of the Washington County Arts Council. "What could be better than that?"
