Call for volunteers: help your Arts Council at Blues Fest 2007!

It's that time of year again: the 12th Annual Western Maryland Blues Fest in Hagerstown!
The Arts Council is seeking adult, responsible adults to assist with selling beer tickets and serving beer at the festival on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 at the festival grounds in downtown Hagerstown. Volunteers work two-hour shifts. The net proceeds benefit both the Blues Fest and the Arts Council.
"Many crews of volunteers come back year after year," said Kevin Moriarty, Executive Director of the Washington County Arts Council. "Sometimes it's six Realtors from the same brokerage, sometimes a couple dozen teachers from the same school. Lots of people volunteer just to meet people in a fun setting. Wherever they come from, they have a great time, they hear some great music, and they earn the undying gratitude of the Arts Council."
