Call for artists: Downtown Live!
Visual artists are invited to participate in the Downtown Live! Artists? Fair on Saturday, October 20th from 10am to 3pm. The Artists? Fair is held on conjunction with the Downtown Live! music festival. Last year?s music festival attracted an audience of thousands. This year, organizers are adding the Artists? Fair to enhance this community event. What this means for the artists is thousands of potential customers for their art!
The Downtown Live Artists? Fair will be set up on the first block of West Washington Street in front of the Washington County Arts Council. The music portion of Downtown Live! will be set up at the Public Square and the first block of South Potomac Street.
For a reservation fee of $25, participating artists receive not only a 10x10 spot in the Downtown Live Artists? Fair but also the benefit of a coordinated advertising and marketing campaign. The Arts Council will administrate the program, and will not charge a commission on sales during the event. Participating artists should be prepared to conduct their own sales transactions.
