The Maryland Symphony Orchestra's next concert offers a program of Handel, Prokofiev and Beethoven

HAGERSTOWN, MD? The Maryland Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Elizabeth Schulze are bringing an exciting evening of classical music to the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown Saturday, November 17 (8pm), and Sunday, November 18 (3pm).
The MSO will launch its program with selections from Handel?s Water Music. Then, violinist Timothy Fain, identified by Symphony magazine as one of today?s ?Up-and-Coming Young Musicians,? is sure to mesmerize symphony goers with his extraordinary talent that prompted The Washington Post to note, ?Fain has everything he needs for a first-rate career.? With the MSO, he will play Prokofiev?s Violin Concerto No. 1. The concert will conclude on a powerful note ? with Beethoven?s Symphony No. 8, known for its cheery and humorous moments, in part, saluting Haydn.
