STAFF Kevin Moriarty, Executive Director, oversees the WCAC's community arts development efforts and advocates for support of the arts in Washington County. His daily task is to further the WCAC's mission of enriching the cultural, educational, economic and social life through nurturing the arts. Previously he had a career in public policy, including several years as Manager of Congressional Relations for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund). He serves on boards and committees such as the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Western Maryland Blues Fest, the Maryland Symphony Orchestras Marketing Committee, Horizon Goodwill Industries Public Relations Committee, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts 75th Anniversary Steering Committee, the Antietam Healthcare Festival of Trees Committee, and the Hagerstown Suns Chili Cook-off and Music Festival Committee. In 2004 he was appointed to the Curriculum Advisory Committee for the Fine, Visual and Performing Arts at Hagerstown Community College. He recently was elected Treasurer of the Community Arts Alliance of Maryland. He is a member of the Hagerstown Downtown Rotary. He is a native of Storm Lake, Iowa, and a graduate of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. He's a fan of both baseball and opera, devotes his leisure time to reading, cooking, gardening and European travel. He lives in Hagerstown with his four dogs, Mike, Betty, Roger and Emmet. Stephanie Ostmann, Executive Assistant, is responsible for the daily operations of the WCAC's administrative offices and Gallery in historic downtown Hagerstown. She is a Maryland native and graduated from The George Washington University. She worked in the defense industry in Northern Virginia, but now, in addition to her commitment to the WCAC, she teaches yoga and devotes her energies to her three sons. Michael Maginnis, Education Programs Manager, is also an art teacher at the Antietam Academy. However, throughout the year he is planning and fine-tuning the WCAC's popular Art Camp at Doub's Woods. His responsibilities include managing instructional staff, overseeing the operation of the camp, and advising the WCAC's Executive Director and Board of Directors on curriculum for the program.
