Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 yrs. old. Exception: Artists currently represented by FIRST STREET GALLERY. Eligible works include ORIGINAL oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, prints, photography, mixed media, and sculpture in any medium. No video, film, installation, giclées or similar reproductions. All Wall-hung Work (2D or 3D): including frame if applicable, may not exceed 44 inches in width. No height limit. Maximum depth: 10 inches. Maximum weight: 30 lbs. All 2D work must be suitably framed (or sides cleanly finished or painted), wired, and ready for hanging. D-rings should be used for heavy works. 2D works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass. Must have securely attached wire or other fixture(s) to hang. No work can be hung from ceiling or pipes. Standing sculpture ONLY: Maximum weight is 50 lbs. Maximum width or depth of sculpture is 40 inches. No height limit. Sculptors must provide floor stand with a maximum footprint of 40 x 40 inches.

The fee is $40 for 1 – 3 works. $5 for each additional work, up to 6 works total. Entry fees are non-refundable. Online application only. See Prospectus for details.


ANDREW ARNOT is president and owner of Tibor de Nagy Gallery, located since 2017 at 11 Rivington Street on the Lower East Side in NYC. He joined the gallery in 1989. He became an owner in 1993, upon the death of the gallery’s founder, Tibor de Nagy, with whom he worked closely. In the years since, Arnot has honored the gallery’s history while expanding its vision and refining its program. He has organized hundreds of gallery exhibitions and overseen the publication of many catalogues. Some of the more significant exhibitions include Joe Brainard, Rudy Burckhardt, Sam Francis, Shirley Jaffe, Jess, Joan Mitchell, Francis Picabia, Fairfield Porter and Larry Rivers. He has placed important works by contemporary gallery artists and historical artists in several major museums and private collections. He has been invited to jury exhibitions, including PS 122 and The New York Studio School. He has served as a board member of Art Dealers of American Art. He received a B.A. in Art History from Michigan State University.
