2024 Call for Artists

The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. (WCAC) and Washington Goes Purple invite local artists working in any medium to submit their art for the September 2024 exhibit, “Happiness by Choice - ReStory Your Life.” The juried community art exhibit be on display in the gallery from September 5, 2024 through October 1, 2024 and virtually beginning, September 7, 2024.

“Happiness by Choice - ReStory Your Life - Exploring themes of recovery from substance use and mental health challenges through the transformative power of art. The journey of recovery is deeply personal, often marked by moments of struggle, resilience, and ultimately, triumph. Through "Happiness by Choice," we aim to celebrate the courage and resilience of individuals who have embarked on this journey, as well as to challenge stigma and promote understanding surrounding these important issues. We also encourage you to share your unique perspectives and insights on the theme of "ReStory Your Life.”

Please read the entire Prospectus and Guidelines before submitting artwork.

Then, submit up to three entries with the Submission Form.

If chosen, please adhere to the Hanging Specifications
and fill out the online PR/Media Release Form.
