Call for Artists

The 20th Annual Will's Creek Exhibition of Fine Art takes place September 21-October 5, 2019, and celebrates contemporary artwork.

Now in its 20th year, this competition serves as the longest-running annual competition of the Allegany Arts Council and offers more than $4,000 in prizes.

Call for Entry

The call for entries is now available via http://www.callforentry.org. The deadline to submit an entry is August 1, 2019. To learn more about entry, click here.

Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply, including both two and three-dimensional artwork. This show encourages innovation, creativity and uniqueness. All entries must have been completed in the previous three (3) years and may not have previously been shown in the gallery. Artwork may be up to 48" in width, depth or height, including framing.

Juror

We are pleased to announce the juror for the 20th Annual Will's Creek Competition & Exhibition is Jack Rasmussen, Director & Curator of the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center (Washington, DC), and Chairman of the Maryland State Arts Council.

Rasmussen previously served as the Executive Director at di Rosa Preserve: Art Nature, Maryland Art Place and Rockville Arts Place. He also was the owner and director of Jack Rasmussen Gallery in Washington, DC.

A Public Opening & Awards event will take place Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Awards will be presented at 7:00PM.

Entry Fees: $30 for the first two entries. Two additional entries are available per artist for $15.00 each.
